Repair kit for sheet metal nut holder, Z1 seat shell
TOP
The retaining brackets for the sheet metal nuts – into which the retaining bolts are screwed – often break or crumble on the underside of the seat shells. This happens with increasing frequency, particularly when forces are applied to the seat shells, whether because someone is pulling on them or the seat is being lifted out of the vehicle by the lower edge of the shell.
These 3D-printed parts, which I have designed and printed, are made from the same materials as the seat shells and replace the broken original sheet metal nut holders. After completely removing the old, original holders, the new parts are joined to the seat shells using a fusion process (colloquially known as plastic welding). All you need for this is an adjustable 230V/60W soldering iron, suitable soldering tips, and a few standard tools such as a small saw, sandpaper, files, combination pliers, and side cutters.
These repair kits are, of course, supplied with installation instructions. I am, of course, happy to answer any questions you may have (even before you buy) via email.
