(sorry, it's only a g**gle translation )
Whenever you have to disassemble the interior trim around the cutout of the rear window on the E39 Touring the locking lugs of the fairing parts tear off and thus can not fix the fairing parts in the inserts.
Since the fairing parts have become extremely expensive meanwhile, I have designed a modified insert which is replaced instead of the original, which sits in the sheet metal of the tailgate. This new insert is designed to provide a perfect grip on a 4.2mm tapping screw, allowing it to be fastened with screws.
I've now replaced all locking lugs with screws on my E39 and think you can quite live with the small smear in terms of "beauty" due to the now visible screw heads.
The new inserts are manufactured using the SLS 3D printing process and are each supplied with a suitable screw.
The specified delivery time is the maximum delivery time if the parts are not available in sufficient quantity and must be rebuilt.
