The plastic bushings in the "hinged front flap" (the official name in the spare parts catalog) are not available as spare parts from BMW. If the bushes are broken or crumbled, the entire joint must be replaced, this currently costs 180.00 euros (as of 01.2021).
The replacement sockets are one-piece, slotted sockets that are printed from nylon (PA12) using the SLS 3D printing process. Nylon PA12 is characterized by good abrasion resistance, high fatigue resistance with frequent load changes, as well as very low water absorption and good chemical resistance to fats, oils, solvents, fuels, alkalis and salt solutions.
On request, two-part bushings such as two bearing shells can also be supplied.
The one-piece beech requires a bit of "overcoming" during assembly, as you need a little feeling to get the bushing over the collar at the end of the bearing shaft, but the positioning of the holders on these bushes is a bit easier or less fiddly.

The individual parts are 3D printed using the SLS process and are supplied in white or grey (similar to RAL 7011 iron grey), depending on the printing service provider.
